March 16th — Raid Team Meeting Checklist

Before Raid — What To Do If You Have Time

These are the blue quality items at the crafting bench — insert 80x Veteran Crests each to increase ilvl. These do NOT take Sparks.
New: If you already crafted Veteran items and want to swap to honor items, you can. You only lose a couple upgrades for this week.
Reminder: Mains will get gear from splits. Alts should try to get buffed up before splits.

Spark Crafting Advice Updated Mar 15

For Veteran Crafting advice, see the Pre-Season / Week 1 section above. The following is for spark items only.

Golden Rule
All spark items crafted this week or next → craft at ilvl 259 with zero crests. On the 24th/25th, recraft to 285 with Myth crests. Never craft with Hero crests.
▸ Casters All healers except Holy Paladin
1st Craft: A 2H weapon with embellishment. Craft on the 17th/18th reset for a boost into N/H week, then recraft with Myth Crests on the 24th/25th.
Why not wait for vault? No 2H int weapon drops from raid except the final boss. This season you get your 3rd craft when you'd normally get your 2nd — too many crafts, not enough Myth crests. Crafting a weapon lets you pick other items from vault (Myth tier piece, BIS trinket, etc).
2nd Craft: Whatever your class discord and simming recommend.
▸ Dual Wielders DH, Sin/Sub, Some Survival, Fury, Enhance
1st Craft: A 1H weapon with embellishment. Craft now for N/H week boost, recraft with Myth Crests on the 24th/25th. Only need to hold 80 Veteran Crests. Fury warriors: craft when you get 4 sparks — easy choice, these go in your offhand once you get another mythic weapon.
2nd Craft: Whatever your class discord and simming recommend.
Outlaw Rogues: Outlaw has unique stat requirements. Direct all crafting questions to the Rogue discord, outlaw channel.
Windwalker Monks: Bablyonius has a flowchart in the Monk discord — follow it!
▸ 2H AGI Users Brewmaster, Feral/Bear, Some Survival
1st Craft: If you're a mythic raider clearing at least the first 2 bosses week 1 — do NOT craft a weapon. There's a 2H agi weapon from boss 2 and boss 4. Only used by survival hunters, monks, and druids. Very high drop/vault probability.
2nd Craft: Check your class discord for what to craft first instead.
▸ Ranged Hunters
1st Craft: If you're a mythic raider clearing at least the first 2 bosses week 1 — do NOT craft a weapon. There's a ranged weapon from boss 1 and you are the only class who can use it. Very high drop/vault probability.
2nd Craft: Whatever your class discord and simming recommend.
▸ 2H STR Users DK, Arms Warrior, Ret Paladin
1st Craft: A 2H weapon with embellishment. Craft on the 17th/18th reset, recraft with Myth Crests on the 24th/25th.
Why not wait? No 2H STR weapon until boss 5 — more than halfway through prog. Same crest economy issue as casters. Weapon craft = better vault picks.
2nd Craft: Whatever your class discord and simming recommend.
▸ 1H STR + Shield Prot Paladin, Prot Warrior
1st Craft: A 1H weapon with embellishment. Craft now, recraft with Myth Crests on the 24th/25th.
2nd Craft: Consider not crafting a shield if you can clear at least the first 2 mythic bosses week 1. There's a shield off boss 1 — check your class discord if you think you have a shot at it from drop or vault.
▸ Holy Paladin Special case — two paths
Path A — Raid Focused:
1st Craft: 2H int weapon with embellishment on the 17th/18th, recraft with Myth Crests on the 24th/25th. You lose Shield of the Righteous and Armory of Light magic reduction, but it's a massive crest save. No 2H int weapon for Paladin drops this raid.
2nd Craft: Whatever your class discord and simming recommend.
Path B — Raid + M+ Focused:
1st Craft: 1H int weapon with embellishment. Craft now, recraft with Myth Crests on the 24th/25th.
2nd Craft: Consider not crafting a shield — there's one off boss 1. Check your class discord.
▸ Split Alts
Craft a weapon. That's it.
Reminder: Craft at ilvl 259 with zero crests → recraft to 285 with Myth crests on the 24th/25th. Never use Hero crests.
